Myra Robinson

Myra Robinson

Myra Robinson is a singer/songwriter that has been performing in the Southern Maine area for over ten years. From her humble beginnings in the trio Joyful Sound to an ongoing stint with Voices in Harmony and the Saco Bay Jazz Vocal Ensemble, she now brings a talented and enthusiastic stage presence to Bluezberry Jam.

With a voice that is both clear and soulful, she can belt out the blues, or beguile an audience with her jazz style and tender ballads. Her very original songs tell stories of the human heart, whether through lyric humor - as in the song Attention Deficit Blues - or in the thought provoking Rain Spirit, about a Native American ancestor.

Drumming has been a part of her life for many years; she is the MC at the Saco Coffeehouse. Originally from San Diego, CA, Myra was a Navy brat who soaked up the different cultures from where she lived growing up, and now puts that life experience into her music and singing.

For the past 15 years she has settled down in Scarborough, ME, where she lives with her family and a collection of djembe drums.
